Jackson McDonald appointed Bates Smart (Sydney) to assist them in the design and delivery of their new law offices. To ensure a smooth project delivery of 3,900m2 of workplace, Bates Smart engaged ZMH as the local point of contact. Jackson McDonald moved from a cellular office environment into a mostly open plan workplace, punctuated by quiet rooms and small meeting rooms. By removing some of the typical corner office and partitioned cubicles, the new design provided visual connections across the open plan giving opportunities for engagement with one another. The built form was largely kept around a central core to maximise external views and natural light.
